Plot summary
Ronald and Reginald Kray are raised in east London by Violet, a mother who dotes on the pair. Ronald is the dominant twin, and he draws his brother into acts of violence. Together they gather a gang and, through the 1960s, become leaders of an organized criminal operation that controls the East End club scene. Reginald marries, and the bond between the two brothers and their mother stays with them as they move from childhood into adulthood. Older crime bosses who once held the territory the twins have taken watch for a chance to reclaim it as the brothers reach the height of their power.
