Barbara Ferris

Barbara Ferris was an English actress and fashion model who first appeared on television as a teenager and went on to a long career in British film, theater and television. Born in London, she played the barmaid Nona Willis in the Granada serial Coronation Street in 1961 and soon moved into features such as Children of the Damned (1964). She was probably best known as Dinah, who ran off with Dave Clark in Catch Us If You Can (1965). Her other films included A Chorus of Disapproval (1989) and The Krays (1990), and on stage she took the female lead in Edward Bond's controversial Saved at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 1965. Later stage roles included the lead in Terence Frisby's There's a Girl in My Soup and Alan Ayckbourn's Season's Greetings, while her television work took in the comedy All in Good Faith in the mid-1980s. She died in 2025.
