Plot summary
Gingy McAnally has left the Irish Republican Army behind. He is retired in the Republic of Ireland, living in a caravan. Two IRA men come for him and take him back to Belfast, where he is told he must do one more job because of his skill with an RPG. The brigade chief in Belfast briefs him and threatens him, and Gingy, who first refused, sees that he has no choice. The job is the killing of a judge. On the road north, a British patrol under Lt. David Ferris stops the group, and Ferris introduces himself to Gingy. In the getaway the gang smashes through a roadblock, where a soldier from that patrol recognizes Gingy.
