Plot summary
Steve Tobias works undercover for the CIA. His son Mark is set to marry Melissa Peyser, and the two families gather for dinner before the wedding. Melissa's father, Jerry Peyser, is a mild-mannered foot doctor who stumbles onto Steve's operation: Steve is arranging the sale of a Russian submarine, the Olga, to a smuggler in France, a deal meant to draw out arms traffickers. Jerry wants no part of the deal or of Steve's family, but Steve drags him in against his will or tricks him into wild escapades. As Jerry's incidental involvement grows, the FBI comes to see him as part of the operation.
