Plot summary
Jake has staked the pilot for his hunting show on a single animal: a large buck he calls Movie Star, which he is sure will get the series picked up for distribution. He and Stevie, a news cameraman, head into a secluded forest in West Virginia with a bow and a camera and three days to bring the buck down. Jake treats failure as unthinkable and goes to lengths to keep the hunt and the footage intact. The equipment misbehaves, strange things occur, and the two men get the impression that they are not welcome in the forest. Night falls, and the two men are not alone.
