Plot summary
Samantha has moved through one foster home after another and does not feel she belongs in the small town where she now lives. The family she stays with is thinking about adopting her, and a boy at school does her classwork for her. Olivia, the younger girl in the house, is curious and tags along after her. One day Samantha leaves Olivia behind, and Olivia walks off into the woods alone and disappears.
