Plot summary
In Colonial America, Morella is a witch, and she is put to death for it. She leaves a husband and an infant daughter, Lenora. After seventeen years, Lenora has grown up, and the money her mother's family arranged stands ready for her to inherit. Morella wants to return to life, and she means to do it by taking over Lenora's body.
