Plot summary
Askett, a gang leader who works as a hairdresser, answers to an anonymous employer. The two plan a train robbery: £2.5 million from a mail van, hidden at Hamingwell Grange, an empty country mansion, until the gang returns for it. Amber Spottiswood is the headmistress of St Trinian's, and Sir Horace, who has just been made head of the Ministry of Schools, gives her school a grant to move after a fire. St Trinian's settles into Hamingwell.
