Plot summary
Detective Mike Fletcher works in Buffalo, New York, and is consumed by the search for a man who abducts young women. The case has gone quiet, and his superiors are ready to close it. He has been ignoring his wife Shelley and teenage daughter Abby. At a Thanksgiving dinner, Abby argues with her mother and leaves the house to meet Tad, the young man she is seeing, at the diner where he works. Tad ends their relationship, and Abby runs outside. He watches her speak to someone in a car, and when he looks again, she is gone. Mike and his partner Kelsey Walker take up the search for Abby.
