Plot summary

Mother, Father and Son share a luxurious bunker carved out of a salt mine, two decades after the surface became uninhabitable. With them are Friend, one of Mother's oldest friends, Butler, who serves the household, and Doctor, who keeps the safety procedures and the medication. The Son has spent his whole life below ground, builds scale models of places he has never visited and helps his father write a memoir, while Mother keeps the rooms decorated and the household on its drills and duties. A Girl is then found unconscious in the mines, and the family carries her inside to ask how she reached them.
