Plot summary
In the early 18th century, the bandit Fra Diavolo gathers his men at their camp in Northern Italy and tells them of a recent encounter with the aristocratic Lord Rocburg and Lady Pamela. Traveling as the Marquis de San Marco, he wins the confidence of the couple during a carriage ride, and Lady Pamela reveals where her jewels are kept. Meanwhile, Stanlio and Ollio fall victim to a robbery and consider a life of banditry.
