Plot summary
Their father struck a bargain with the Devil, giving away the souls of sons who were not yet born. Ish, Enoch and Abe Daylong grew up carrying that curse. Now the three of them travel together through the kudzu-choked backwaters of the South, singing as they go, hunting the long-lost man who made the deal and then vanished. What they are after is revenge on him for the lives he signed away before they began. The Devil still holds the souls that were promised.
