Adam Boyer

Adam Boyer is an American actor who turned to acting after a career in soccer, a sport he played in high school, in college and professionally in two countries. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he moved with his family to Atlanta, where soccer replaced the hockey he had loved as a boy. He began acting while studying at Georgia State University in the late 1980s, and by the middle of the next decade he was at Warehouse Actor's Theatre in Atlanta, the first student in its history to earn a thesis there. He played his first leading film role in 1997, as Burton Bomhoff in The Reel Reason. His other films include ATL (2006), Solace, Safe Haven, Looper and Sully, and on television he appeared in The Game, One Tree Hill, Necessary Roughness, Nashville, Homeland, Revolution, Resurrection, Sleepy Hollow, Powers, Ozark and The Walking Dead. He is best known as Sergeant First Class Leon Wisniewski, called Ski, on Army Wives.
