Plot summary
Stan and Ollie teach dancing, and two impostors posing as insurance agents involve them in a fraudulent scheme. Grant Lawrence, a young inventor, is building an invisible ray device meant for jungle warfare. Trudy Harlan, one of Stan's pupils and Grant's romantic interest, invites Grant and the pair to her parents' house for tea while her parents are away. Her father, Wentworth Harlan, returns and nearly catches Stan and Ollie in the house, though they slip away unseen. The next day the dancing school faces eviction over unpaid rent, and Stan proposes using Ollie's savings. Their attempt to raise the money destroys a prized antique clock.
