Plot summary
A nude, handcuffed woman is found dead in the Hudson River in New York. More men are killed, each handcuffed before he dies. Paul McCormack, who hosts a television talk show, and Larry Weeks, a detective on the police force who also does stand-up comedy, join forces to track the killer down. Virna Nightbourne is an art student in New York, and she keeps finishing portraits that appear to show the crimes. Muriel, her roommate and a nurse, has noticed what is happening.
