The Christmas Setup (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Hugo Spencer practices law in Manhattan. Before flying to Milwaukee for the holidays, he tells his boss, George Vogel, that he expects to be made partner in the new year and will look for work elsewhere if that does not happen. At home, his mother, Kate Spencer, has chores and Christmas activities waiting for Hugo and his brother Aiden, and as president of the Carroll Avenue Neighborhood Association she is putting together the Christmas Eve festival at the landmark train station. The planning commission wants the station torn down. Kate brings Hugo and Patrick Ryan together again, a former classmate two years above him at school who has already retired from a career in Silicon Valley, and Hugo, who once thought Patrick was beyond his reach, finds Patrick seeking out his company.
