Plot summary
Detective Jasmeet Bhamra is British-Indian and grieving. Her son was killed by a shooter who was addicted to drugs. She transfers to High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, where Superintendent Miller gives her the case of Ishpreet, a missing Indian boy. Her superior, DI Hardik Patel, works the inquiry with her. They question Ishpreet's parents, Daljeet and Preeti Kohli, whose marriage is suffering, and learn the boy was adopted.
