Trailer

Plot summary

Erica Bain hosts a radio show in New York City. She lives there with her fiancé, Dr. David Kirmani, and their dog, and the couple walks the animal in Central Park. Three men set upon them during one of those walks, recording the assault on their phones and taking Erica's engagement ring and the dog. David dies of his injuries. Erica cannot resume her old life, and she lives in fear of another attack. When she tries to buy a gun, the store refuses her because she has no license. A dealer on the black market overhears her and offers her a pistol, and rather than wait the thirty days a legal purchase requires, she buys it and starts carrying it with her.
