Plot summary
Ellie Griffin returns to the old family home ahead of her adopted son Alejandro's wedding and finds her ex-husband Don there with Bebe, his girlfriend of eight years and once her own closest friend. Alejandro, who was adopted from Colombia, and his fiancée Missy meet Father Moinighan, and Alejandro learns that his biological mother Madonna is traveling from Colombia for the ceremony. Madonna is a devout Catholic who does not believe in divorce, so Alejandro asks Don and Ellie to pretend they are still married for the three days of the celebration. Bebe, angry that Don will not commit to her, leaves the house. Madonna arrives with Alejandro's twenty-year-old sister Nuria, and Don and Ellie's daughter Lyla is separated from her husband.
