Plot summary
Dr. James Brewster has been changed by his own scientific experiments with Dr. Randall into something between a man and an ape. He believes that only an injection of recently drawn human spinal fluid will cure him, and the effects of each dose are temporary, so he looks for donors who have not agreed to help. Randall refuses to take part and threatens to go to the police. Reporter Jeff Carter and photographer Billie Mason are sent to interview Brewster's sister Agatha, and odd sounds outside her house draw their attention. An unfamiliar man is also asking questions about Brewster's disappearance, and Brewster keeps a captive gorilla.
