Plot summary
The mall music shop run by Ally's mother draws teenagers from all over town, and Ally, in her teens, sings and writes songs of her own. Joey works nights on the mall's custodial crew with his friends and holds on to the ambition of making it in rock music. When Ally lets him hear her music, she is delighted to find someone who answers to her songs and to her as well. Madison Huxley is the mall owner's daughter, spoiled and accustomed to having her own way, and what she is after now could be disastrous for Ally's hopes and for her mother's store.
