Plot summary
Artie Pinsetter makes his living as a junk collector in the desert town of Candy Rock, and he spends his free time building inventions. He is engaged to Emmy Lou Raven. When she is exposed to radiation inside a cave, she grows into a thirty-foot giant. Artie nervously tells her rich uncle Rossiter that Emmy Lou has gotten big, and Rossiter takes the word to mean she is pregnant, so he insists the wedding happen at once. The giant Emmy Lou stays in a barn while Artie works on one of his machines, hoping it can shrink her back to her usual size.

- The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock is the only film Lou Costello starred in without his longtime partner Bud Abbott; it reached cinemas only in August 1959, five months after Costello died of a heart attack.
- Lou Costello was ill with rheumatic fever while shooting the film, and AllMovie critic Hal Erickson wrote that he seemed more solemn and reserved than usual as a result.
- Much of the outdoor footage was shot at the Iverson Movie Ranch in Chatsworth, California, where the barn used as the giant heroine's new home was part of the Fury Set, a ranch set originally built for the television show Fury.
