Plot summary
Larry Martin is an American entertainer at the Casino Samba in Rio de Janeiro, where one skit makes fun of the womanizing Baron Manuel Duarte. The Baron and his wife, Cecilia Duarte, come to the show one evening and are startled by how true to life the act is. Backstage the Baron meets Carmen, Larry's girlfriend, and asks her to a party he is giving; she turns him down. Later that evening Larry meets Cecilia and puts on his Baron impersonation for her. The Baron receives a telegram saying a contract for his airline will not be renewed, and he has already bought 51 percent of its stock. He borrowed money from a bank and must repay it, so he flies to Buenos Aires. Larry is engaged to pose as the Baron and confuse his rival, Machado.
