Taxi, Trailer and Corrida (1958) on Netflix

Plot summary

The summer holiday begins, and Maurice Berger, a taxi driver in Paris, joins his wife Germaine and their son Jacques for a trip to Spain. His brother-in-law Léon, Léon's wife Mathilde and their daughter Nicole travel with them, the taxi towing a caravan behind it. Customs officers at the border search the cars closely, and the two men are nervous about the tobacco they are bringing in for the holiday. In the customs hall a blonde woman is carrying a stolen diamond into Spain. When the officers grow suspicious of her, she slips the stone into Maurice's jacket pocket and then finds out where the families are headed, intending to get it back.
