Plot summary
Ben and Jamie, friends since eighth grade, are now college freshmen in long-distance relationships with their high school sweethearts. Claire, Ben's girlfriend, is controlling, and Jamie tells him to set boundaries. Jamie has grown bored of her boyfriend Simon, and bullying during her childhood makes it hard for her to make friends, so Ben urges her to let her guard down. Their friend Palmer is returning to their Ohio hometown to host a coming out party the night before Thanksgiving. Ben and Jamie decide to end their relationships that night.
