Plot summary
Adele is sent to look after her aunt Dora, a woman with agoraphobia who limits their contact to messages and rules slipped beneath the door. The teenage girl is lonely in the house until she meets Beth, a vibrant woman her own age who is her opposite in looks and personality. The two spend more time together, and Adele begins to copy Beth's behaviors and mannerisms. One of them is buying cheap replacements for the goods Dora sends her out for, so she can keep the extra money. Beth tests the limits of Adele's sense of right and wrong, and the lonely girl is pulled further into her company.
