Plot summary
Ray Cooper and his teenage daughter Rachel live in Pittsburgh, where he runs a gym and they both train in mixed martial arts and self-defense. When his wife Amanda is diagnosed with cancer, Ray learns of a new BioPrime drug that could save her, only to find that the company withdrew it after chief executive Simon Keeley paid the manufacturer to hold back production. Ray calls a live television interview and threatens Keeley if Amanda dies. She dies, and he and Rachel are left devastated. Six months later, investigative journalist Martin Bennett says he has evidence of corruption at BioPrime and asks Ray to meet him. On a subway platform, a hitman attacks them.
