Plot summary
Cameron Turner is a husband and father in the near future. He receives a terminal diagnosis. His doctor, Jo Scott, directs a human cloning program, and she presents him with a choice. A clone of Cameron, called Jack, could take his place. His wife Poppy and his eight-year-old son Cory would be spared grief and would not know. Cameron has not decided whether to tell Poppy about the offer.
