Plot summary
Dr. Calico holds Bolt and Penny bound above a pool of lava. They are prisoners in a warehouse on a distant island, and the building cannot be entered by any person or dog. Penny's father watches from his laboratory through a camera hidden in Bolt's collar, and he fears there is no way to reach her. Rhino sits in the room watching television while the father works. Because a dog cannot get inside, the father picks Rhino, the hamster, and gives him the same treatment that gave Bolt his powers. Rhino then flies across the sea in his ball toward the base.
