Plot summary
Sean Asa leads a flashmob crew called The Mob, which has moved from Miami to Los Angeles to make a living from dancing. Auditions turn them down again and again, and after another refusal they visit a club, where the Grim Knights challenge them to a dance battle and win. With money short, the Mob decides to pack up and return to Miami, but Sean stays behind. He learns about a competition called The Vortex, whose prize is a three-year Las Vegas booking, and asks Moose for help building a new crew. Moose finds him a janitor's job and a room at the dance center his grandparents own. Sean brings in the injured dancer Andie West along with Vladd, Violet and others, and the group, named LMNTRIX, sends in an audition video.
