Plot summary
Brit, Candy, Cotty, and Faith are best friends from grade school who share a college dorm and want adventure. Faith attends a religious youth group while the others party. When their classmates leave for spring break, the four stay behind because they have no money to travel. High on cocaine, Brit and Candy put on ski masks and rob a local restaurant, threatening the staff with hammers and realistic-looking squirt guns, while Cotty drives the getaway car. In St. Petersburg, Florida, they party on the beach with alcohol, drugs, and sex until all four are arrested for narcotics. Alien, a rapper and drug dealer, pays their bail. He charms Brit, Candy, and Cotty with his money and swagger, but Faith is uncomfortable and wants to leave.

- Rapper Riff Raff announced in July 2013 that he was suing the creators of Spring Breakers for $10 million for "sampling" his life without his permission or a producer credit, but a September 2013 search by LA Weekly for court documents found nothing.
