Plot summary
Harry Pearce leads Section D, MI5's counter-terrorism department. When his team moves the terrorist Adem Qasim across London, the convoy is ambushed, Qasim gets away and a CIA officer is killed. Harry disappears, and the service's leaders want him found. Will Holloway, whose father worked with Harry until he was killed, is collected in Moscow and brought to London; Harry had dismissed him from the service over poor performance. Harry reaches out to Will and says someone inside MI5 helped Qasim, asking for his help. Will refuses to trust him but begins looking into the claim on his own, without telling MI5.
