Plot summary
In August 1944, the American Eighth Air Force prepares to strike Nazi Germany, but British Intelligence finds signs that its bombers may be heading into a deadly trap. Flight Lieutenant Edward Barnes is recruited for Operation Extreme Jeopardy. With hours left, Barnes must take an unarmed observation plane over Berlin and photograph defense installations, intelligence that could stop an American squadron from flying to certain death and spare the lives of twelve hundred men. The story is inspired by true events and the work of the RAF Photo Reconnaissance Unit, which supplied photographic intelligence to Allied forces during the war.
