Plot summary
Marquis is flying with his family to his father's funeral in rural Appalachia when a storm makes him lose control of the plane. He wakes hurt and alone, shut inside the attic of Ms. Eloise, who says she can heal his wounds. Her treatment is a hoodoo figure she has made using pieces of him, his blood and his skin. With no way to reach anyone for help, and no way out of the attic, Marquis tries to outwit her and get around her dark magic, hoping to get to his family before the blood moon rises and their sinister ritual begins.
