Plot summary
Donna Martin lives in Possum Trot, a small town in East Texas. After her mother dies in 1996, she feels a calling to care for children who have no parents. She contacts an adoption agency and learns about the plight of many other children. With her husband, Reverend W.C. Martin, and the Bennett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, she invites families to adopt children from the local foster system.
