Plot summary
Vincent Downs works undercover for Internal Affairs in Las Vegas, two years into an investigation of a crime ring. His targets are casino owner Stanley Rubino and the boss above him, Rob Novak. Vincent's partner, Sean Cass, is a drug courier for the ring. The two men, masked, force a van off the road and take a duffel bag holding 25 kilograms of cocaine. Detective Jennifer Bryant, back after being assaulted during a meth lab raid, pushes onto the drug case and clashes with Vincent at the scene. Vincent drives his son Thomas to sports practice and learns his ex-wife Dena plans to remarry. Rubino's men attack the car, and Rubino calls Vincent to demand the stolen cocaine within three hours.
