Plot summary
Nick Burns is eighteen, and his brother Tyler is fourteen. A small UFO comes down on a quiet road near their town, directly in the path of their truck. The brothers hide it and stay ahead of government agents, Agent Armstrong the most persistent of them. Tyler has been aboard the ship on a trip into space, and it leaves him looking older and gives him strength beyond normal and the ability to read minds. His high school life turns upside down. Reptile-like aliens begin turning up and going after Tyler. Nick keeps putting his brother off, busy chasing Julie Gunn and finishing the science project he needs to graduate, so keeping the ship and Tyler's changes out of sight gets harder.
