Plot summary
Four years after his journey to the center of the Earth, seventeen-year-old Sean Anderson is caught by police after a dirt bike chase that ends in a neighbor's swimming pool. His stepfather, Hank Parsons, intervenes so the boy is not held in juvenile detention. To boost a coded message he believes his long-missing grandfather Alexander sent, Sean had gone inside a satellite station. Hank works out the code, which leads to three classic novels and coordinates in the South Pacific. In Palau, the two hire helicopter pilot Gabato Laguatan and his daughter Kailani.
