Plot summary

A Gambler crosses an endless desert on foot, an iron chain dragging behind him. A day behind comes the Marshal, dressed in a priest's collar, cutting down everything in her path as she hunts him. In a town that has gone mad, the Gambler pulls a boy away from danger, and the boy will not leave him. The two escape together before the Marshal reaches the town, which she burns to the ground.
