Plot summary
Bill Turner and Tommy Larson are best friends in New York who get their comic books from Mr. Sumatra's newsstand. Vinnie Benedetti, Booger Martin and Podowski make their lives miserable, and Tommy has a crush on Sally, Vinnie's girlfriend. When newcomer Freddie Thompson is picked on, Tommy tries to stand up to Vinnie and Mr. Sumatra steps in. The three boys plan to get Vinnie and his friends arrested, but word reaches Big Moe, the mob boss Vinnie works for. Big Moe orders the boys killed, and Mr. Sumatra, a voodoo priest, brings them back as shrunken heads with powers of their own.
