Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Halloween: Resurrection (2002)

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.

  • SPOILERJamie Lee Curtis wanted the series over, but producer Moustapha Akkad held a clause that barred the writers from killing Michael Myers. Curtis almost walked weeks before filming until Kevin Williamson devised the story that Laurie had beheaded a paramedic Michael had swapped clothes with.
  • SPOILERThe shot of Michael Myers in the paramedic uniform that opens Resurrection was actually filmed the day after Halloween H20 finished principal photography, according to that film's editor Patrick Lussier, because Curtis had agreed only if nothing in H20 hinted at a sequel.
  • SPOILERLarry Brand's original ending left Michael in the burning house, with firemen finding his body the next day; it would leap at them as a cadaveric spasm before collapsing into ash. Ehren Kruger's draft was rejected and Sean Hood rewrote from Brand's work.
  • Busta Rhymes got the part of Freddie only after LL Cool J proved too expensive to bring back from H20; Coolio auditioned for the same role, and producers had also considered Danielle Harris, the Jamie Lloyd of the fourth and fifth films.
  • Bianca Kajlich could not scream, so every one of her screams in this slasher film had to be dubbed by someone else in post-production.
  • Daisy McCrackin's character Donna Chang was first introduced in a shower scene meant as a deliberate homage to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, but the sequence was cut from the finished film.
