Plot summary
Tahir left Nigeria without papers and now lives on the streets of Manhattan. A devout Muslim, he is courteous to everyone he encounters and gets by on the money he earns playing music in city parks. Hannah is a heroin addict who shares those streets; she steals and lies, and sells her body to pay for her next fix. When Tahir stops her from taking her own life, the two become friends.
