Plot summary
A gigantic root system tears across the country like an earthquake, and militant environmentalists Kate and Joe record its growth on video. Government agent Jack Taylor brings in plant expert Jocelyn Snow, who links the spread to seeds from the original Garden of Eden, released into a contaminated climate that turns the plant into a vast mass of foliage. The ancient seed traces back to Frame Marcos, Jocelyn's former colleague. If the root system burrows under the ocean, it will drive massive tsunamis ahead of it. Jack, Jocelyn, Joe and Kate set out toward the place where the growth began.
