Steven Vidler
Biography
Steven Vidler is an Australian actor who also writes and directs, and he trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art before graduating in 1983. He began his screen career in 1984 with the television film The Blood of Others, and he appeared in The Good Wife (1987) as Sugar. His film work includes The Thin Red Line, Two Hands (1999), The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course (2002), and See No Evil (2006) with its sequel. On television, he had recurring roles in Heartland, Janus, MDA, and Home and Away, and he played the teacher in the BAFTA award-winning series Jeopardy. Vidler made his feature directing debut with Blackrock (1997), which was Heath Ledger's first film role. He co-wrote A Difficult Woman, which won a Silver World Medal, and he wrote and directed Standing Up for Sunny (2019), which won the 2020 AACTA Award for Best Indie Film.
