Plot summary

Abhilash Sasidharan, twenty-three, works as a techie in Bangalore. A summons in his name reaches his mother Kala at their home in Kerala, and the constable Kurian tells him to report to the station at once. The case he is called for goes back ten years, to a game of cricket on the rooftop of Radhakrishnan, when the young Abhilash hit a vellakka that struck Ayisha on the head as she came back from the ration shop after a quarrel with her daughter-in-law Naseema. Ayisha hit the boy in anger, and the loose tooth he had been working at came out with blood. He was admitted to hospital. His parents filed a case against her for hurting a minor, and Radhakrishnan, who had a boundary wall dispute with Ayisha's family, pressed the matter further. Ayisha was arrested.
