Plot summary
Kannur Squad is a crime investigation unit of the Kerala Police led by ASI George Martin, with CPOs Jose, Jayan and Shafi. In 2015, while chasing a political goon through the Kannur-Virajpet forest, the officers come upon the hanged body of a stranger. The death is ruled not a suicide, and the squad looks for whoever is responsible. In 2017, a wealthy NRI businessman, Abdul Wahab, is robbed and killed in Kasaragod. With no leads, SP Manu Needhi Cholan hands the case to the Kannur Squad, over resistance from those who doubt the unit. The four officers begin tracing the crime, and their search takes them beyond Kerala to other states.
