Plot summary
Jerusalem's Lot is the small town where author Ben Mears grew up, and he comes back there hoping to write a new book. He becomes involved with Susan Norton, who lives with her mother and wants to leave. Eleven-year-old Mark Petrie is bullied at his new school and gets to know his teacher, Matt Burke. A European stranger, Straker, sets up an antique shop in town and moves into the Marsten House, a long-empty place where murders have happened. A large crate arrives from overseas and goes into the basement of the house. Soon the town is preyed upon by a vampire, and Ben, Susan, Mark and Matt are among those who resolve to act.
