Plot summary
Twenty years ago on Christmas Eve, a green humanoid in a Santa suit came to Cindy's house in Newville for the decorations. Her mother fought him and was killed, and Cindy called the intruder a monster before it fled. Twenty years on, Cindy comes home for the holiday, hoping for closure, and stays with her father, Lou. She bonds with Officer Burke and meets Sheriff Peter Hooper, who refuses to take her story of a monster seriously. Hooper explains that Newville stopped selling and hanging Christmas decorations after that night. Lou digs out the old decorations and puts them up with her. When the creature returns to terrorize the town, Cindy decides to stop it.
