Plot summary
Viktor Taransky has fallen out of favor in Hollywood, and his new film is unfinished because its lead actress, Nicola Anders, refuses to complete it. His ex-wife Elaine, an executive producer, tells him his contract will not be renewed. He remains close to their daughter, Lainey. A day later, a program called Simulation One comes into his hands, able to generate a computer-generated woman, and he uses it to play the film's central character, naming her Simone after the software. At the premiere, the performance he controls becomes the highlight, and the film is a success. Simone draws fans around the world and revives Taransky's career. The public takes her for a real person, and demands for her to appear keep growing.
