Stelio Savante
Biography
Stelio Savante is a South African actor, born in Cape Town, who came to wider attention after two decades of contract theater work. His prime-time debut came on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and he went on to recur as Steve on Ugly Betty, a role that made him the first male South African-born Screen Actors Guild nominee, for best ensemble in a comedy, in 2007. He appeared in the studio films My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006) and Starship Troopers 3: Marauder (2008), and in dramas including What If... (2010), Eisenstein in Guanajuato (2015), Running for Grace (2018) and Infidel (2019). On television he played Moses in The Chosen and voiced Ajax in the Call of Duty games Black Ops 4 and Mobile. He has also produced films, among them No Postage Necessary.

Stelio produced and performed in 110 Stories Celebrity Benefit Performances marking ten years since the September 11 attacks, with Katie Holmes, Samuel L. Jackson, Melissa Leo, Cynthia Nixon and Jeremy Piven at NYU's Skirball Center for The Performing Arts.

Savante produced the film No Postage Necessary, which made history as the first film ever released via blockchain technology using cryptocurrency as payment.

Savante starred in Where the Road Runs Out, the first feature film shot in Equatorial Guinea, which won Best Narrative Feature at the 2014 San Diego Film Festival.
